Abstract
The paper discusses the features of emotional intelligence of young men and features of the relationship of emotional intelligence with personal and communicative properties. In addition, a larger number of investigators found an addictive and aggressive type of communication. Regarding the accentuation of character, the most pronounced were the following types of accentuation: hypertonic, cycloidal, labile and asteno-neurotic. Emotional intelligence is understood as the ability to understand the relationships of a person, represented in emotions, and to manage the emotional sphere on the basis of intellectual analysis and synthesis.
