Journal Title: Journal of Science and today’s world - Year 2014, Vol 3, Issue 6
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the possibility of implementing new methods of teaching in elementary schools of Bushehr. This research is descriptivesurvey (non- experimental) which was carried to the field. The statistical community of the research was the primary school teachers of Bushehr, which are 650 persons. According to the formula to determine sample size (Cochran), the statistical sample of research calculated 240 persons. The descriptive method is solidarity and the research instruments consist of one questionnaire: the questionnaire of Constructivist teaching practice which includes 27 questions. The effect of four components of human factors (teacher- student), educational structure, space and educational facilities, and educational content on the implementation of these two methods were studied. These questionnaires have been developed based on the Likert scale and the reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha, which the amount of this alpha is 94%. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics were used, which in inferential statistics to determine the effectiveness of the factors affecting teaching this method it has used of regression analysis test. The results showed that: The human factors (teacher- student) by 73%, teacher factor with the beta coefficient of 0/57, and student factor with the beta coefficient of 0/41 can be effective on Constructivist teaching method and are in a significant level; Structural factors by 59% and with the beta coefficient of 0/77 can be effective on Constructivist teaching method; Space and educational facilities by 64% and with the beta coefficient of 0/8 can be effective on Constructivist teaching method; Structural content by 62% and with the beta coefficient of 0/79 can be effective on Constructivist teaching method.
