Abstract

The results of the empirical research of personal, professional and organizational peculiarities of the personal well-being of officers and non-commissioned officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are presented. It has been shown that officers and non-commissioned officers have differences in the experience of personal well-being, which is related to various characteristics of meaningful life orientations, feasibility of life, actual values and their accessibility, reflexivity, perception of time space, experiences of subjective well-being, motivational peculiarities, professional aspects of identity, self-motivation, demand and well-being in the activity, as well as the favorable organizational culture of relations and organizational management, job satisfaction and work in general. It has been found that the non-commissioned officers have higher values of self-orientation, self-denial, responsibility, personal, situational and general feasibility of life and the rejection of their own past, compared with officers. They have a higher level of positivity of professional self-help. It has been found that the officers have higher levels of the importance of satisfaction with self-realization and daily activity, freedom, retrospective, situational and perspective reflection, perceiving the present as a consequence of past experience and the background of the future, experiencing a state of inhibition and negative work, psychoemotional symptomatology, positive mood, optimistic perception of the future, caring for proper health and well-being in comparison with the non-commissioned officers. Among them, more persons with pseudo-positive and diffuse identity were found, and among the officers of the senior officers and sergeants there were more people with positive and pseudo-positive identity and with a moratorium of professional identity. It was revealed that the level of professional well-being of officers is higher due to significantly higher indicators of autonomy, professional self-acceptance, satisfaction with the level of competence and professional achievements, professional development and growth, the formation of professional goals and the presence of positive attitudes in the team than the non-commissioned officers. Officers do not consider the optimal levels of organizational culture of relations and organizational management. Officers are more interested in work, have higher levels of professional harassment and professional responsibility, are more satisfied with achievements in work, relationships with employees, content of work and working conditions, than the non-commissioned officers who have a slightly higher level of satisfaction with leadership relationships than officers.
