Abstract
Problems related to renovation of timber roof trusses of an industrial hall dating back to the first half of the 20th century. The paperdescribes the technical condition of timber trusses of anatypical roof covering of anindustrial hall, which was built in the 1940s. Problems of renovation of the roof trusses are presented and the technical solutions applied are described.The majority of the primary memberscomprising the timber loadbearing roof structure are still in a good technical condition despite 75 years of use and inadequate maintenance and repairs, especially in recent years. The authors discuss the repair work of the near-supporting zones which was carried out improperly over the past decade and propose anappropriate programme of essentialrepairs and strengthening.
