The Importance of Tourism Investment in Economic Development - Case Study of Algeria

Abstract
The importance of tourism activity in the world has increased in at least the last 20 years because it has become an important, valuable supply that is almost the same as the imports of traditional income, and income of tourism activities has become the main valuable supply for some countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Lebanon and Singapore, for example. This paper aims to highlight the reality and the importance of tourism investment in economic development in Algeria, And we used the analytical descriptive approach to describe and analyze the reality of tourism investment in Algeria, and And Its Impact on economic development (contribute to the total incomeand employment(.The study concluded that despite the enormous assets owned by Algeria, but it did not achieve the expected efficiency of this sector in terms of tourist revenues, employment opportunities and contribute to the GDP
