УЗУАЛЬНІ ФРАЗЕОЛОГІЗМИ ТА АВТОРСЬКІ ІННОВАЦІЇ В ХУДОЖНІХ ТВОРАХ ВАСИЛЯ ЧАПЛЕНКА

Abstract
Recently, the research of Ukrainian idiomatic wealth has been highlighted. The light is shed upon the confrontation of linguistic aspect and stylistic phraseology. The relevance of our research is caused by scholarly attention not only to the idiomatic studies in terms of their structure and semantics, but also their textual linguostylistics, combined together with the lack of thorough studies of the pieces by a prominent diaspora writer and our compatriot Vasyl Kyrillovich Chaplenko. The purpose of this article is to examine the usual and occasional phraseology in specific text conditions from the perspective of their artistic, expressive features, and their textual meaning by the means of a comprehensive analysis of literary text. Phraseological units in the works of V. Chaplenko have different stylistic weight. The stylistically neutral ones are of a nominative function in the artwork. Fixed expressions rich in powerful expressive-evaluative values dominate in the pieces of the writer. Therefore, the context of a particular sentence or a period becomes clearly expressive. This applies primarily to colloquial and bookish phraseological units. The literary phraseologisms have been used by the author in order to style the narrative as old “high style” Ukrainian bookish language, whereas the colloquials help humorously depict characters whose speaking is saturated with such units. Vasyl Chaplenko widely exploited the native folk phraseology units to preserve the pearls of Ukrainian folk genius in the diaspora.
