3D Modelling and Aerodynamic Simulation of a Passenger Car
Journal Title: Machine Design - Year 2018, Vol 10, Issue 4
Abstract
The shape of a passenger car is very important, both in terms of vehicle dynamics and for winning the leading position on the market. The vehicle's aerodynamics greatly affects fuel consumption, vehicle stability and safety during braking process. Today's software tools make it much easier to develop a new product - a car. This further contributes to the manufacturer to be competitive on the market, as well as reducing the necessary investment in developing a new model of car. The influence of air resistance on the fuel consumption and the occurrence of noise and vibrations, using the ANSYS software package, is analysed in the paper. Then the coefficient of aerodynamics of the vehicle was determined. Also, the loads that occur during the movement of the vehicle and what are the most exposed areas are shown.

Cutting Force Prediction for Three Types of Cutting Materials and Lathe Tool Holders
In this study the machining cutting forces is analysed. Experimental measurements are performed on the three types of the cutting tools and lathe tool holders in order to collect the experimental data. The method of ANFI...
Simulation of Robot RV-2AJ Using Softwares Solidworks and NI LabVIEW
In this paper, the attention is given to the simulation of the industrial robot Mitsubishi RV-2AJ with the help of program tools that include two software packages – SolidWorks i NI LabVIEW. The main purpose of the simul...
Vibration Analysis of a Generator Anti-Vibration Rubber Mounts
The aim of this paper is to measure the stresses developed in the anti-vibration rubber mounts of a generator which are result from vibration of a generator at duty cycle. This done by measuring the acceleration of the e...
Using Eye Tracking Technology in Product Design Evaluation
A Visual sense occupy a 30 to 40 percent of the human cerebral cortex, and more than 70% of information is collected by vision, leaving less than 30 % for other senses. Having this in mind it is obvious that vision is th...
Resistance of Screen-Printed PVC Foils to External Influence
The goal of this study was to examine the resistance of manually screen-printed PVC foils to external influences such as mechanical effect (colour rendering). Since this study includes an examination of transparent, self...
