A clinical study of benign breast diseases attending to government general hospital anantapurmu

Abstract

About 50-55% of women suffer from some sort of breast disorders in their life time. Benign breast disease is 4-5 times more common that breast malignancy. The current prospective study is carried out to assess study of various parameters including demographic factors, correlation of clinical diagnosis, FNAC and histopathology examination in relation of benign breast diseases attending to department of General Surgery, Government General Hospital and Medical College, Anantapuramu. It t is found that the benign breast diseases are common in middle age group females, presence of lump in the breast with or without associated pain is the commonest presenting symptom. It is also found the Histopathology examination, Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology correlate very well in management. At the end of the study early, effective clinical diagnosis, HPE and FNAC examination of benign breast disease will help in effective management and also in prevention of breast Malignancy.
