A CLINICAL STUDY OF ORBITAL TUMORS

Abstract

To evaluate the cases with proptosis, diagnose and manage cases of orbital tumors at an early stage to prevent complications with respect to eye and life of the patient. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 20 patients with proptosis were evaluated by clinical history, examination and radiological methods and surgery performed, specimen sent for histopathological examination. RESULTS: On histopathological examination, 17 were found to be benign and 3 malignant and further treated in the form of radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery to prevent visual loss and life threatening complications.
