A discussion with the concept of “deindustrialization” from the case of Chubut’s North-East

Abstract
The concept of “deindustrialization” has been dominant as scheme to think the changes that the Argentine economy has suffered from about 1976 until the beginning of the 21st century. In this article we debate with the use of this perspective, tracing the origins and enrolled budgets in this look, from the revision of the works of several authors, and developing a different look to understand the process that development in the region Chubut’s North-East in the last years of the 20th century and the frst ones of the XXIst. We discuss with the idea of “de industrialization” in the economic structure, that, as a whole with the retraction of the State, the lack of regulations to the economy and the national “disintegration”, are the axes of the classic interpretation about the changes that would have taken place in Argentina from the domain of the fnancial capital. This article propose the indispensable need to rethink the utilization of these concepts, them to work from a systemic perspective, emphasizing the importance of breaking with the idealizations that surrounding the concept of industry and/or of industrialization in Argentina.
