A GENERAL OVERVIEW OF HORSE CONCEPT IN ORKHON INSCRIPTIONS

Abstract
Bir dilde kavram alanı kuramına göre incelenen her bir kavram, o dilikonuşan milletin dil zevkini, estetik düşüncesini ve en önemlisi o kavramla ilgili dünya görüşünü ortaya koyar. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, üç büyük Orhun abidesi olan KülTigin, Bilge Kağan ve Tonyukukabidelerinde at kavramı, geleneksel anlayışa ve kavram alanı kuramına göre incelenecektir. Söz konusu abidelerin söz varlığında saptanan ve at kavram alanını oluşturan kelimelerden hareketle, atın Türkler için önemi, Türk kültüründeki yeri bu kelimelerin etimolojik, morfolojik ve semantik özellikleri de göz önünde bulundurularak ortaya konulacaktır.
