A GENERALIZED MODEL OF WEAR TRIBOCORROSION

Abstract
The article attempts to approximate the results of studies of tribocorrosion wear of stainless steel AISI 304 and AISI 420 in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution. The tests were performed in a specialized position of the node model pin-on-plate. In particular, a series of differentiated pressures in the contact zone (p) and the frequency of counter-specimen movement (f) were used. The approximation model was used for wear in the general form: Ih = KpX (Ih – linear wear intensity, K, x – solid materials). Approximation obtained satisfactory results (correlation coefficient of 0.85 above). At the same time, it was found that the effectiveness of the applied model decreases with an increase in the rate of corrosion effects.
