A MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE STABILIZING WORKING OF DIES FOR THE PULSED STAMPING

Abstract

Purpose. To development and select the method of the hardening-stabilizing treatment of the die mirror for the hydroexplosive stamping of thin sheet parts of a closed form. Methodology. The determination of new technological and physical effects under impulse action can be achieved using specialized methods of a directed synthesis, ordered and disordered search methods, among which the most promising one is the heuristic generalized method. The method of analyzing hierarchies, by paired comparisons, global and local priorities has been used. An analysis of the die operating conditions has been given and prevailing factors affecting the stability of dies have been found out. Physical and technical effects and principles inherent in the hardening treatment have been established and systemized. Based on the analysis of the production experience and schemes of the hardening treatment a method of selection of the way of die hardening has been developed. After the most appropriate method of the hardening treatment had been found, a grounding of the loading parameters during deformation hardening was carried out. Furthermore, on algorithm of controlling the structure and properties of the die material was made. Then an experimental verification of the hardening method effectiveness and mathematical modeling of the die hardening and stabilizing treatment using the finite element method was performed. Results. It has been found that the main reason for the die failure during the operation is the occurrence of irreversible plastic deformations of the forming surface. Originality. The experimental studies have been performed with a failed die. The modeling was carried out in the ANSYS AUTODYN software package clarifying the calculation results by considering the elastic un loading and unloading waves from the free die surface. The most effective method to eliminate the irreversible deformations of the forming surface of the die is the deformation explosive hardening. Practical value. The charge size is selected so that the deformations of the forming surface conform to the limiting uniform ones of the die material. For 600 mm die parts a 45 g charge is used, for 800 mm die parts a 150 g charge is used, for 1,000 mm die parts a 200 g charge is used and so on.
