A method for determination of complete mechanical characteristics of heterogeneous-structured materials
Journal Title: Archiwum Odlewnictwa - Year 2009, Vol 9, Issue 3
Abstract
The article outlines the possibilities to evaluate by a modified low-cycle fatigue test the quality of materials characterised by different structures and the resulting mechanical properties. The method was described by computer program (MLCF), adjusted to the operating parameters of a versatile testing machine.

The effect of recasting on corrosion of DUCINOX prosthetic alloy
The effect of recasting, up to two times, Ni-Cr (DUCINOX) prosthetic alloy on its corrosion properties was carried out. The corrosion measurements were done in deoxygenated Fusayama Meyer artificial saliva solution at te...
Mechanism of carbon influence on the transition from graphite to cementite eutectic in cast iron
In this work an analytical solution is used to explain mechanism of carbon influence on the transition from graphite to cementite eutectic in cast iron. It is found that this transition can be related to (1) the nucleati...
Assessment Criteria of Bentonite Binding Properties
The criteria, with which one should be guided at the assessment of the binding properties of bentonites used for moulding sands, are proposed in the paper. Apart from the standard parameter which is the active bentonite...
Use of the JM- SPC software to statistical control of high pressure die casting production-variable valued data type
Usefulness of the JM-SPC computer program for a statistical analysis of variable valued data proceeded from an Al-Si high-pressure die casting production processes was examined. An analysis subject were results of dimens...
Application of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) in study of phase transformations in ductile iron
The effect of heating rate on phase transformations to austenite range in ductile iron of the EN-GJS-450-10 grade was investigated. For studies of phase transformations, the technique of differential scanning calorimetry...
