A Modified Clustering Algorithm in WSN
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Computer Science & Applications - Year 2015, Vol 6, Issue 7
Abstract
Nowadays many applications use Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) as their fulfill the purpose of collection of data from a particular phenomenon. Their data centric behavior as well as harsh restrictions on energy makes WSN different from many other networks known. During this work the energy management problem of WSN is studied, by using our proposed modified algorithm. It is a clustering algorithm, where nodes are organized in clusters and send their data to a shift selected cluster head. It will provide improvement on energy consumption in terms of member nodes, by making cluster heads static. LEACH already has a good energy saving strategy but our modification will provide an easier approach towards efficiency.

Comparative Analysis of ALU Implementation with RCA and Sklansky Adders In ASIC Design Flow
An Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU) is the heart of every central processing unit (CPU) which performs basic operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and bitwise logic operations on binary numbers. This...
Feedback Optimal Control of Low-thrust Orbit Transfer in Central Gravity Field
Low-thrust trajectories with variable radial thrust is studied in this paper. The problem is tackled by solving the Hamilton- Jacobi-Bellman equation via State Dependent Riccati Equation( STDE) technique devised for nonl...
Optimal Network Design for Consensus Formation: Wisdom of Networked Agents
The wisdom of crowds refers to the phenomenon in which the collective knowledge of a community is greater than the knowledge of any individual. This paper proposes a network design for the fastest and slowest consensus f...
Architecture Considerations for Big Data Management
A network architecture is concerned with holistic view of interconnection of different nodes with each other. This refers to both physical and logical ways of interconnection of all nodes in the network. The way in which...
A Frequency Based Hierarchical Fast Search Block Matching Algorithm for Fast Video Communication
Numerous fast-search block motion estimation algorithms have been developed to circumvent the high computational cost required by the full-search algorithm. These techniques however often converge to a local minimum, whi...
