A new spam detection and filtration method

Abstract

Current email systems based on SMTP protocol and C/S structure adopt the relaying mechanism which is similar to that of routing, as the server can not verify the authenticity of the original email sender, it always leads to the spread of spam, while existing solutions to spam based on content analysis get high misjudgment rate and lead to lost of emails. This paper studied and analyzed the header structure of Email, and proposed a new spam detection and filtering method FSA-Spam which can effectively detect and filter Spam with forged sender address, and based on which a forged sender address spam detection and filtering system was designed and implemented.
