A rare case report of a large placental chorioangioma responsible for adverse pregnancy outcome
Journal Title: Indian Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Year 2016, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
Chorioangioma is a relatively common benign tumour of placenta arising from chorionic tissue. The incidence of it is very rare around 0.6%. These often remain unnoticed as they are rarely more than 5 cm. Large chorioangiomas have unfavourable effects on both mother and foetus. We describe a case with large chorioangioma of the placenta that had a poor pregnancy outcome.
