A STATION FOR THE RESPIRATORY MECHANICS MEASUREMENT BY OCCLUSION TECHNIQUES
Journal Title: Metrology and Measurement Systems - Year 2007, Vol 14, Issue 2
Abstract
In the paper, the stage for the evaluation of the respiratory mechanics by occlusion techniques is described. It consists of the hardware-software module of post-interrupter data acquisition, numerical procedures of the collected signal analysis and computational models, enabling a quantitative/qualitative verification of the relations between the lung structure, pathology and measurement results. Flexibility of the designed set-up guarantees the possibility to test the classical versions of the interrupter technique, its modi.ed author's variant - enhanced interrupter technique and also the future developmental work in the appointed research area.

TWO-PARAMETER MEASUREMENTS AND SIGNAL CONDITIONING IN DOUBLE-CURRENT SUPPLY FOUR-TERMINAL RESISTANCE CIRCUITS
A new type of the four-terminal (4T) bridge circuit unconventionally supplied by current sources connected in parallel to opposite arms, named double current bridge (2J) is presented. It has two different outputs from bo...

The word error rate (WER) in an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) is the probability of receiving an erroneous code for an input, after correction is made for gain, offset, and nonlinearity errors, and a specified allowa...
MEASUREMENTS OF UNSTEADY FLOW PARAMETERS IN PIPE-RECEIVER AND PIPE-TURBOCHARGER SYSTEMS
In the paper, the characteristic features of an unsteady flow in two systems: a high-volume pipe-receiver and a pipe-turbine are described. The tests were made under the conditions of a pulsating pipe supply in the range...
PRE-PROCESSING AND PATTERN RECOGNITION METHODS FOR ARTIFICIAL OLFACTION SYSTEMS: A REVIEW
Data analysis is a fundamental part of artificial olfaction systems. Nonetheless, while electrical and mechanical components of electronic noses are deeply investigated and optimised for the specific applications, data a...
