A study of the impact of agile manufacturing dimensions on the economic value added of industrial parks in Fars Province

Abstract

Fast technological changes, increase of risk, globalization and privatization expectations are among the environmental characteristics that current commercial organizations have to deal with. Agility creates a competitive advantage for achieving success in such an environment and it can be maintained by reputation of innovation and quality. Agile organization makes the processes and individuals in an organization consistent with the advanced technology and meets the needs of customers based on its quality products and services and in a relatively short time period. Of course this occurs when agility is considered as a systematic organizational value and a competitive strategy for leaders. According to the studies of many financial scientists in the world economic value added can be used as a basis for determining the aim and value, investment in plans and projects, assessment and measurement of performance, determining company’s intellectual capital, determining the reward level and etc. This study explored the impact of agile manufacturing dimensions on the economic value added in industrial parks of Fars Province. The research method was scientific. The population of the present study is consisted of all companies in Fars Province industrial parks. The results of the study indicated that agile manufacturing impacts the economic value added of Fars Province industrial parks. The technological aspect of agile manufacturing has positive impact on the economic value added. The strategic aspect of agile manufacturing has positive impact on the economic value added. The timeliness aspect of agile manufacturing has positive impact on the economic value added. The human resource aspect of agile manufacturing has positive impact on the economic value added.
