Journal Title: Ankara Üniversitesi Dil ve Tarih-Coğrafya Fakültesi Dergisi - Year 2016, Vol 56, Issue 2
Abstract
In the twentieth century, although Furug Ferruhzâd (1935 -1967) who is one of the leading intellectuals and literary women of the contemporary Iranian literature is known as a poet, she produced also successful works on writing, painting, acting and directing. Ferruhzâd who gained worldwide fame by the works she penned with her own style, wrote short stories in a limited number. Kâbus from the short stories of the writer is determined as a case story. Case story presents a section from the life of the ordinary people. Its subject is chosen randomly from the daily life and is not formed from a big event and the place is not focused on. In general the feeling of incompleteness is awaken in the story and the indetermination of the sections such as introduction, development and conclusion by distinctive lines is a characteristic of the case story that is also known as Chekhov style. In this study, the story Kâbus will be tried to read in the frame of a textlinguistic analysis. The textlinguistics that is different from the classical text study is an access method to the semantic layers occurred in the deep structures of the text by means of the surface structure elements and it occurred as a result of the researches realized by going beyond sentence in the contemporary linguistic studies. Since 1970's in an analysis based on the textlinguistics as a separate branch of the linguistics, the sentences in the text have begun to be addressed not as independent elements from each other but as a whole having the structural and semantic connections between them. Approaching to the text by this understanding the textlinguistics determines the standards and rules that make text any language phenomenon. The textlinguistics that is an access method in general to text and in private to literary text and their semantic frame works approaches to the structural and functional features of the texts according to their types and context in which they are used. In this context, the story Kâbus will be tried to analyze by means of the cohesive elements related to the surface structure and coherent elements to the deep structure that are the main standards of the textlinguistics by the examples from the text and a sample of textlinguistic analysis that is envisioned as a helpful study for the researchers of the Persian Language and Literature in Turkey will be realized. This study is believed to be the first textlinguistic analysis sample formed on a Persian short story in Turkey.
