A VERDADE NO PENSAMENTO EPISTEMOLÓGICO DE HOWARD GARDNER

Abstract
This article results of the studies developed on the topics Epistemology and Science in the Graduate Program of Engineering and Knowledge Management (PPEGC / UFSC). The purpose of this article is to describe the epistemological view of ‘truth’ defended by Howard Gardner (1943), in its relation to the ideas of Immanuel Kant (1724-1804) and Jean Piaget (1896-1980). Therefore, this refers to the concept of truth and the idea of true in a scientific perspective, however, is constituted through intrapersonal and interpersonal relations, because they interfere and contribute in the establishment of concepts or ideas. Intrinsically, the subject constructs their concept of truth, and this construction is mediated by external interference, arising from the media and other sectors of society. The elaboration of knowledge occurs by the reconstruction of the truth, taking into account the development of the perceptions and differences related to the significant manner with which the knower shapes the world.
