A visualization design option of the jetty mooring monitoring system

Abstract
The paper illustrates foreign researches and applications in the jetty mooring monitoring system. Furthermore, this paper presents a newly designed jetty mooring monitoring system based on wireless network. In the new system, the spot data such as the tensions of lines and the measurement data of fenders are transmitted by the wireless network to the central control room, where they are dynamically displayed in monitors or devices concerned, and stored in database at the same time. The system enables the dispersed control in jetty mooring and the centralized management in data. The computer based visualization monitoring lowers the possibility of man-made error operations and the rope-broken accidents, thus, improve the security and efficiency of the jetty mooring.
