ACADEMIC MOBILITY AS A TOOL FOR INTERNATIONAL INTEGRATION
Journal Title: International scientific journal Science and Innovation - Year 2024, Vol 3, Issue 11
Abstract
This thesis explores academic mobility as a key tool for fostering international integration in education. Academic mobility encompasses the movement of students, faculty, and researchers across borders to engage in educational and cultural exchange. The study highlights its potential to harmonize educational systems, promote cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen global collaboration. Through a combination of literature review, case studies, interviews, and surveys, the research examines the benefits of academic mobility, including enhanced educational quality, personal development, and the creation of global competencies. It also addresses significant challenges, such as financial barriers, visa restrictions, and institutional disparities, which limit access and impact. By analyzing successful programs like Erasmus+, Fulbright, and Campus Asia, the thesis identifies best practices and strategies for improving accessibility and effectiveness. Recommendations are provided to leverage academic mobility further, emphasizing equity, virtual mobility, and stronger institutional partnerships. The findings underscore the transformative potential of academic mobility in creating an interconnected and inclusive global education system. This study contributes to the growing discourse on how education can serve as a bridge between nations in an increasingly globalized world.
