Academic Motivation and Self-Efficacy Among Public School Senior High School Students: A Correlational Study

Journal Title: Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal - Year 2023, Vol 11, Issue 7

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between academic motivation and self-efficacy among senior high school students. Correlational design was employed to determine the relationship between the variables. Statistical analysis showed that the r coefficient of 0.57 indicates a moderate positive correlation between the variables. The p-value of 0.00, which is less than 0.05, leads to the decision to reject the null hypothesis. Hence, a significant relationship exists between academic motivation and self-efficacy among senior high school students. Moreover, the implications of the study were discussed.
