Abstract
The article highlights the relevance of the issue of theoretical analysis of the activity-based approach as a methodological source of the enhancement of future teachers’ readiness for the spiritual and moral development of a primary schoolchild in the institutions of higher education. The author proves the point of view that conducting any scientific research or designing a scientific concept requires scholars to provide a theoretical and methodological rational for the phenomenon under study. The activity-based approach provides students with the opportunity to realize their key and specific competencies, get their first experience of the developmental activity in primary school. It has been proved that it is very important for the future teacher to understand the functional components of activity in the field of spiritual and moral development of the personality. It is also vital to enhance both individual and specific abilities while developing students’ readiness for the spiritual and moral development of a child. The author notes that the enhancement of student's readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren should be done through the use of sensory, central and motor types of reactions. It is also necessary to observe the actions of students and promote the organization of their self-monitoring processes when future teachers are placed in different conditions and have to solve situational problems in practice or at the seminars in University. The presented research provides the foundations for the formulation of several provisions on the enhancement of future teachers’ readiness for the spiritual and moral development of a primary schoolchild. These provisions are presented in the conclusions.
