Activity of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations in South America: from Creation to the Early 1950s

Abstract
The creation of Ukrainian women’s organizations in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, and Chile is analyzed. The main activities of female emigrants are characterized. Among them are the popularization of spiritual and intellectual heritage of Ukrainians, formation of national consciousness of the Ukrainian community, religious and patriotic education of children, and establishment of native language education.
