Abstract

There is studied the possibility of using the methodical, pedagogical and literary potential of modern science at the lessons of Ukrainian literature at school of the general education. There are proposed the methodical forms and methods that will contribute to improvement of the pupils’ literary competence. In particular, there is posed a practical model of lessons on the works of N. Hvylevoj at senior school. The peculiarities of the writer's style and his place in the literary process of the early twentieth century are taken into consideration. There is proposed a concrete material that can be useful for the language and literature teachers, which are trying to improve the quality of education in the lessons of Ukrainian literature.
