AGROHOLDINGS OF UKRAINE: PREREQUISITES FOR THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS

Abstract
The article analyses factors of the creation of agroholdings in Ukraine and prospects of their development. It is determined that the background of the creation of these agroformations is the specifics of the agrarian industry, Soviet agricultural enterprises’ restructuring, and crisis state of agriculture. Today agroholdings demonstrate high efficiency of production and use of all available resources. At the same time, their operation carries certain risks of monopolism and contributes to the unfairness of development of rural territories. It is determined that in the current economic conditions, agroholdings will continue to be effective producers and exporters of agricultural production, however, their activities require a greater state control and regulation.
