An Epidemic Model Considering Nonlinear Incidence Rate and Cure Rate under the Effect of Media
Journal Title: Asian Research Journal of Mathematics - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 4
Abstract
Based on the classic SIR model, the paper constructs an Epidemic Model with nonlinear incidence rate and cure rate under the influence of media. The model is qualitatively analyzed and simulated and verified by Matlab. The results indicated that the media played a role in decreasing the number of infected persons and the peak value of infection. The delay of treatment greatly increased the possibility of aggravating infection and inadvertently formed a vicious circle and increased the peak value of infection.

Epidemic Model Formulation, Analysis and Simulation of Rotavirus Diarrhea for Prevention
Aims: Practical employment of epidemic models for rotavirus diarrhea is the aim of the study so that prevention is attained more swiftly thus reducing global disease burdens, mortality rates and financial burdens due to...
Influence of Rotatory Inertial Correction Factor on the Vibration of Elastically Supported Non-Uniform Rayleigh Beam on Variable Foundation
The in uence of rotatory inertial correction factor on the vibration of elastically supported nonuniform Rayleigh beam under moving distributed masses and resting on variable bi-parametric elastic foundation is investiga...
Maximum Likelihood Estimation in Nonlinear Fractional Stochastic Volatility Model
We study the strong consistency and asymptotic normality of the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of a drift parameter in a stochastic volatility model when both the asset price process and the stochastic volatility are...
Fitting a Multinomial Logistic Regression (MLR) Model to Need Assessment Survey on E-learning in Kenya
Information Communication Technology (ICT) advances have reduced the world to a small village. The use of technology to meet societal need has increased in developing countries. It’s from this perspective that technology...
Investor’s Power Utility Optimization with Consumption, Tax, Dividend and Transaction Cost under Constant Elasticity of Variance Model
This work considered an investor’s portfolio where consumption, taxes, transaction costs and dividends are in involved, under constant elasticity of variance (CEV). The stock price is assumed to be governed by a constant...
