An interesting study on Hidradenitis suppurativa

Abstract
Background: Hidradenitis suppurativa is a debilitating, chronic, relapsing inflammatory condition associated with the development of painful nodules and abscesses progressing to persistingly draining sinus tract. This condition has been labelled as low prority disease. Aims and objectives: To study the patients with Hidradenitis suppurativa reported at our hospital in detail along with their clinical findings, lab investigations reports, histopathological findings and discuss the treatment options. Materials and methods: A reterospective and prospective study on eleven cases of Hidradenitis suppurativa diagnosed at Asram Medical College, Eluru. Complete clinical details, investigations along with histopathological examination of the cases were done Results: There were eleven cases of Hidradenitis suppurativa of which were six males and five females. Axillary region followed by perineal regions were most commonly affected. Most of the cases had excision followed by grafting.
