An Interphase Short Circuit Fault Location Method of 10 kV Distribution Network

Abstract

In view of the problem that when there was a branch load before interphase short-circuiting fault point in the distribution network line, the result of impedance legal position had large deviation, a secondary positioning algorithm was put forward to reduce the position error of the phase-phase short circuit faultly.Firstly, the fault types were identified by analyzing the principle of impedance method.Then, the fault point was located by the one-time location algorithm. When there was branch load before the fault point, the fault result was corrected by combining with the line topology. Lastly, the feasibility and accuracy of secondary position algorithm were analyzed by calculation example.The reslts show that when the fault distance is within 20 km, the positioning error of the secondary positioning algorithrn is less than 1 km, and the error rate is less than 10%.The positioning accuracy is high and has good engineering practicability.
