ANALYSE DE LA PRODUCTIVITÉ DES AQUIFÈRES FISSURÉS DE LA RÉGION DU N’ZI-COMOÉ (CENTRE-EST DE LA CÔTE D’IVOIRE)
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2012, Vol 10, Issue 10
Abstract
This study relates to the analysis of the productivity of the fractured aquifers in the area of N’zi-Comoé (Center-East of Ivory Coast). It is based on an approach which takes into account the hydrological balance and the comparative analysis carried out on the one hand with the flows of drillings and the total depths of drillings, the flows and the thicknesses of weathered material and, on the other hand, of the transmissivity in relation to lithology made it possible to evaluate the groundwater potentialities of this area. The various results contribute to make known the hydrogeological potentialities in the area of N’zi-Comoé. The results of the hydrological balance show that the area of N’zi-Comoé receives on average 1154.71 mm of rainfall per year and the quantity of water suitable for infiltrate to refill the aquifers is of 105.61 mm (9.15%) of rainfall. Study of the physical and hydrodynamic parameters, it arises that, in the area of N’ziComoé, the depths of the drillings studied vary between 40.5 and 117.5 m with an average of 79.09 m, the thickness of weathered material fluctuates between 4 and 104 m with an average of 56.24 m. The values of the transmissivity vary from 9,31.10-7 m2s-1 to 4,26.10-3 m2s-1 with an average of 8,22.10-5 m2s-1. The flows of the drillings carried out in the area of N’zi-Comoé oscillate between 0.30 and 16 m3/h with an average of 3.89 m3/h. The schistous formations which constitute the majority of the geological formations were generally most productive.

SOIL SALINITY MAPPING IN THE IRRIGATED PERIMETER ZELBA OF THE REGION OF MAHDIA (TUNISIAN SAHEL)
In the region of Mahdia (Eastern Tunisia) perimeters are irrigated using saline waters coming from groundwater and deep aquifers. Consequences are therefore progressive soils salinization. In this context, this work wa...
