Analysis and Modeling of the Synergizing Effect of Logistical Systems at the Microeconomic Level

Journal Title: Проблеми економіки - Year 2015, Vol 2015, Issue 1

Abstract

Logistical systems, in particular, those operating at the microeconomic level, are complex systems whose components are constantly interacting in a coordinated manner, which may result in the synergizing effect, and one must know how to evaluate it with a view to taking it into account for substantiation of decisions and managerial decision making. This study describes such types of the synergizing effect of logistical systems as: the effect of interpersonal interaction; managerial; investment-related; financial; operational; trade; marketing types; interaction of an individual and modern information and communication means and technologies; informational type. The study points out that the synergizing effect of logistical systems may manifest itself in the following way: minimization of overall spending within the logistical system; increase in the desired result of logistical system functioning; growing competitive advantages within the logistical system. The work studies a series of directions in the development of economic and mathematical models for evaluation and forecasting of the synergizing effect using, in particular, correlation and regression analysis, mathematical programming tools, etc. The synergizing effect is an important and complex phenomenon of the logistical system and its functioning environment, for which reason it appears difficult to construct a single general mathematical model for evaluation of such an effect for any possible logistical system. This work can serve as a reference point for further research, first of all, in the area of development of economic and mathematical models for evaluation and forecasting of the synergizing effect for specific logistical systems using the modern tools of analytical and simulation modeling.
