Journal Title: Uluslararası Ekonomi ve Yenilik Dergisi - Year 2016, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
Public politics, new institutional set-ups and their implementations have been affected by the neo-new-post paradigms. Post-fordizm, post-modernism, neo-liberalism, new rightist movements, neo-liberalism and new public management have been famous for their innovations in the domains they are operating. In this study it is asserted that the new regionalism paradigm is in a paradigm crisis due to new dynamics, knowledge and regional requirements that are being changed rapidly in the global system. In this study the problems of regional development agencies which have been proven by a report of State Auditing Board of Turkey in 2014 are being taken under scrutiny to with a solution finding approach. In order to solve the crisis of new-regionalism paradigm, it is argued to dismantle centralist mind-set not just with legislative amendments and new institutional set-ups, but also with development of regional ecosystem and infrastructure and investment climate and enabling intensified communication and alignment of regionalist and localist approaches with real needs and potentialities of stakeholders.
