Analysis of efficiency of signal filtering algorithm built on the basis of L-group operations.

Abstract

Signal filtering (signal extraction) problem is formulated within signal space with L-group properties. We consider algorithm of narrowband (in radioengineering sense) signal filtering that is based on the method of linear space mapping into the signal space with L-group properties which is realized by signal phase inverting in frequency domain. Main relationships determining the aforementioned method of mapping are established. We show block diagrams of the devices realizing, on the one hand, method of linear space mapping into the signal space with L-group properties, and on the other hand, signal filtering in signal space with L-group properties. Realization of considered method is illustrated with oscillograms of the signals in the output of main elements of processing unit block diagram. It is shown that signal filtering unit based on this method, being quasioptimal, provides filtering quality that is close to Wiener filter upon wide class of interference (noise) distributions.
