Abstract

Hoarding is one of the nastiest issues of the entire world. The pith of the issue is that everyone wants to become rich in the blink of an eye. For this purpose, they do every possible measure to get all the bounty in the shortest span of time. This immoral attitude of men has created a plethora of problems for fellow human beings. Islam is very clear regarding the dearness and the hoarding. There is no healing if there is hoarding. In Islam, both the system of the economic and social processes are valued. The safety of the common man is the main point of Islamic teaching regarding trade. Islam does not allow followers to exploit the common man that is why Islam is against social evils like hoarding, smuggling, and dearness of everyday goods. The teaching of our Holy Nabi (ﷺ) declared the hoarding as a crime and he who commits the crime is accurst and erroneous person. This study is the analysis of the hoarding in the light of the teaching of Holy Nabi (ﷺ). A mixed research methodology will be used in this research. This research concluded that in the present era hoarding is a social evil. It is haram and crime in the light of the teaching of the Holy Quran and that of Holy Nabi (ﷺ). It is our social and moral obligation to stop the hoarding. As a Muslim say no to hoarding should be our motto.
