Analysis of the Possibility of Improving the Characteristics of Hob Milling Tools for Gear Cutting of Cylindrical Gears
Journal Title: Machine Design - Year 2018, Vol 10, Issue 2
Abstract
Hob milling is the widest application in the process of gear cutting of cylindrical gears, primarily thanks to the high productivity of the process. Further demands for increasing the productivity and efficiency of modern hob milling machines have accelerated the construction and evolution of hob milling tools of improved cutting characteristics. Improvement of the design of hob milling tools is also important for the producers of the hob milling tools and for the manufacturers of cylindrical gear. The paper analyzes the possibility of improving the cutting characteristics of the hob milling tools for the gear cutting of cylindrical gears.

Research Correlation Vegetation Index of Corn with Speed of Movement Sensor and Elevation of Field
This paper presents field scouting of corn in order to determine the content of nitrogen in the green parts of the plants. The aim was to measure the vegetative index using two optical sensors by OptRx AGL Technology. Th...
Improving Manufacturing Process Planning Through the Optimization of Operation Sequencing
Defining machining time and cost represents the basis for selecting the optimal process plan within the production system. The problem of optimizing process plans at the macro level includes two basic tasks that are perf...
New Opportunities of Dimensions in Machine Design Process
With the appearance of 3D sizes the process of product design is possible to be accelerated and simplfied. The sizes have a role not only in reconstructing the part but in creating its geometry as well. The further advan...
Effects of Cutting Parameters on the Cutting Force and Torque in Drilling of AISI D2 Steel
Drilling is an important machining procedure. Knowing the best work piece-cutting tool match and the ideal cutting parameters would improve the machining quality especially to overcome challenges faced during the machini...
Dynamic Analysis and Parametric Optimisation of the Connecting Rod Using Autodesk Inventor
This paper presents a case study on optimising a connecting rod, component of a spark-ignition engine, in order to minimise its weight and lower the inertia forces. For this purpose, we use the Autodesk Inventor Professi...
