Ancient Tamil Vattezhutthu Alphabets Recognition in Stone Inscription Using Wavelet Transform and SVM Classifier
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering Sciences & Research Technology - Year 30, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
This paper presents the application of wavelet processing in the domain of Tamil Vattezhutthu alphabets recognition in Stone inscription. To attain high recognition rate, robust feature extractors and powerful classifiers that are invariant to degree of variability of stone inscriptions are needed. The proposed scheme consists of two stages: a feature extraction stage, which is based on Haar wavelet transform and a classification stage that uses support vector machine classifier. Experimental results show that the proposed method is effective.

Design and Analysis of Compact Microstrip Multiband Bandpass Filter Using Ushape with Triangular Stepped Impedance Resonators
A new class of compact microstrip multiband bandpass using symmetric U-shape with triangular stepped impedance resonator is proposed for wireless application. The multiband filter only employs two symmetric U-shap...
COLOR IMAGE SEGMENTATION BASED ON MEAN SHIFT AND NORMALIZED CUTS
An approach for Image segmentation is proposed based on mean shift algorithm and normalized cuts algorithm and its application’s implementation is proposed. The normalized cuts algorithm gives good accuracy and better...
HERMOSOLUTAL CONVECTION IN A HETEROGENEOUS VISCO-ELASTIC (OLDROYDIAN) FLUID LAYER IN A POROUS MEDIUM
The paper critically examines, within the framework of linear stability analysis, the thermosolutal convection in a heterogeneous visco-elastic (Oldroydian) fluid layer in a porous medium. In the present paper, st...
