Annihilation of Dipolar Dark Matter: χχ→γγ
Journal Title: Journal of Nuclear Physics, Material Sciences, Radiation and Applications - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
In this work we study the annihilation of dark matter, considering it as a neutral particle with magnetic and/or electric moments not null. The calculation of the effective section of the process χχbar→γγ → is made starting from a general form of coupling χχbar γ in the framework of an extension of the Standard Model. We found, when taking into account an annihilation of DDM-antiDDM to monoenergetic photons, that for small masses, mχ ≤ 0 GeV, an electric dipole moment ~10–6 e cm is required to satisfy the current residual density, while for the range of greater sensitivity of HAWC, 10 TeV < Eg < 20 TeV, the electrical dipole moment must be of the order of 10–8 e cm.

Effect of Al and Mg Doping on Optical Properties of ZnO Thin Films Prepared by Spin Coating
This paper investigated the influence of aluminum and magnesium doping on the optical and electrical properties of zinc oxide (znO) thin films for solar cell application. zinc acetate dehydrates was used as starting mate...
Influence of Mo6+ on Dielectric properties of Copper Ferrites
Two series of copper ferrites are prepared using the chemical compositional formula Cu 1.0-3y Fe 2.0-2xMo x + yO4.0. They are calcinated at 750 C and sintered at 950C. When x =y = 0.0, the ε′ of the basic copper ferrite...
Correlation Between Underground Radon Gas and Dormant Geological Faults
This work studies the concentration of radon in soil around a fault in the East Franklin Mountains in the El Paso area in West Texas. It is found that the in-soil production of radon is correlated to the existence of a f...
Characterization Of Structures Of Equivalent Tissue With a Pixel Detector
Research using hybrid pixel detectors in medical physics is on the rise. Timepix detectors have arrays of 256 × 256 pixels with a resolution of 55 µm. Here, and by using Timepix counts instead of Hounsfield units, we pre...
Effect of the Target Size in the Calculation of the Energy Deposited Using PENELOPE Code
The specific and linear energy was calculated in target sizes of 10 µm, 5 µm, 1 µm, 60 nm, 40nm and 20 nm by taking into account the contribution of the primary photon beams and the electrons generated by them in LiF: Mg...
