Journal Title: The 1st Annual Meeting of Georgian Center for Neuroscience Research - Year 2020, Vol 2, Issue 20
Abstract
Alzheimer is a type of dementia which is considered to be the most common neurological disorder of the century. In this disease, which often effects for elderly people, the person suffers from a form of forgetfulness that is not even able to perform his/her daily tasks. In many cases, families have difficulty in caring of these patients, which may effects on the quality of life of these patients. The use of Internet of Technology (IoT) provides a new way for physicians and families to monitor the daily activities of these patients using motion sensors, thus helping to improve the quality of life of these patients. Further, IoT technology can be reduce the financial and psychological burden on families which are taken care of these patients. On the other hand, this technology helps patients to perform their desired activities with greater independence and to prevent serious injury to them. In this research, we first give an overview of Alzheimer's disease and then discuss how we can use IoT technology to improve the quality of life of Alzheimer's patients.
