APPLICATION OF THE STAKEHOLDER THEORY IN MANAGING CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Abstract

The growing dynamic of the environment in which present-day business entities operate, as well as the changing parameters of that environment, give rise to new challenges in managing them. The need arises to expand and deepen ties between a business entity and the relevant stakeholders. Stakeholder theory deals with the question of both maximizing the benefits for an organization and, at the same time, making sure it fulfils its social responsibility role. Its application makes it incumbent upon the leadership to keep up to date their own beliefs about the role of their business in society, while at the same time streamlining all activities pertinent to the management of corporate communications.
