APPROCHE MULTICRITERE POUR L’ETUDE DE LA GENESE DES NAPPES D’EAUX SALEES, JEFFARA NORD (S-E TUNISIE)
Journal Title: Larhyss Journal - Year 2016, Vol 28, Issue 28
Abstract
A multi-disciplinary study comprising boreholes, geophysical and geochemical analyses are used to outline a conceptual hydrogeochemical model of northern Jeffara groundwater, largely influenced by tectonic. The study of subsurface data demonstrated that the passage of Saharian stable platform to Atlas domain is marked by fracturation affecting several geological formations near sebkhas. Indeed, contamination of groundwater is probably resulting from rise of deep salt water through tectonic disharmony and saltwater intrusion from the sebkhas by means of fractured carbonate formation. Moreover, the groundwaters quality is characterized by geochemical interactions: cationic exchange and the precipitation/dissolution process of minerals in the aquifer formations.

AGONIE DE LA MER D’ARAL VUE PAR LES ALTIMETRES RADAR TOPEX ET JASON-1
The Aral Sea level has been shrinking since the 60s. Nowadays, the recession of its area is estimated as 50%. In 1989, the Sea split into two basins, the Great and the Small Aral. The small Aral is now stabilized, due...
LES HYDROCARBURES AROMATIQUES POLYCYCLIQUES DANS LES EAUX CONVENTIONNELLES ET NON CONVENTIONNELLES DESTINEES A L’IRRIGATION EN TUNISIE
Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) are considered major sources of pollution in water resources and in the environment. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are of particular interest since they are persistent, bi...
ANALYSIS OF THE HYDROLOGICAL IMPACTS OF CLIMATE VARIABILITY IN WEST AFRICA: CASE STUDY OF THE BANDAMA WATERSHED IN IVORY COAST
This study aims to analyze the changes induced by rainfall variability on the hydrological behavior of the Bandama watershed in Ivory Coast. The climatological data (rainfall, temperature) used cover the period 1951-20...
