Journal Title: Духовність особистості: методологія, теорія і практика - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 87
Abstract
The article is devoted to the research of artistic and aesthetic breeding as a characteristic of a cultural personality. The author notes that in the conditions of technical progress the human soul does not keep pace with the rapid changes in cultural standards, when faced with an unfamiliar culture, a person experiences a state of shock. In the article particular attention is paid to the need to learn the younger generation how to use and acquire knowledge based on conscience. The author notes that emotional underdevelopment is extremely dangerous for today's young people, which significantly affects the general cultural level of the personality, artistic and aesthetic tastes and ideals, because the lack of moral and aesthetic ideals, the uncertainty of the system of vital values, the limited political views appear to be a dangerous factor in choosing one’s life path and the future of the state. The very emotional underdevelopment is a brake on the formation of artistic, aesthetic and moral culture, the spiritual world of the personality, the beauty of the act, the work of the soul. The author of the article emphasizes that among the many factors influencing the younger generation, the art has a special role, "as the dominant of aesthetic education", which is able to prevent spiritual destruction of the personality, because it has always been a role model of high artistic and aesthetic culture, spiritual and moral and aesthetic example for imitation and self-improvement. The author of the article gives several examples of successful domestic and foreign experience in art education. At the end of the article, the author concludes that artistic and aesthetic upbringing is a characteristic of a cultural personality, but a person needs to make many efforts to become a role model for others.
