Abstract
The aim of the publication is to present the discussion of the tactical approach to selected combat actions that were carried out between 1945 and 1946 in the Chełm Land by the military grouping “Wolność i Niezawisłość” (WiN) (“Freedom and Sovereignty”) commanded by Hieronim Lewczuk a.k.a. “Hammer.” Their actions were directed against the officers of the Ministry of Public Security and representatives of the government administration, but also against an NKVD unit, the Citizens’ Militia (MO) and the Polish Army.
