Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 6, Issue 2

Abstract

The present study investigates the relationship between certified accountants’ job satisfaction and demographic factors such as age, gender, educational level and salary. A questionnaire was applied as a tool for data collection. Two criteria of ‘descriptive index of job satisfaction’ and ‘general index of job’ were used to evaluate job satisfaction. Target population of the research was comprised of all Iranian certified accountants whose number was 1611 over the research period and 98 accountants were chosen as the research sample. Collected data were analyzed utilizing Spearman test and a multiple regression model. The achieved findings indicated that at the error level of 5% there is no significant relationship between general index of job satisfaction and biographical factors of age, gender, educational level and salary.
