Assisted reproduction technology - legal and practical aspects

Journal Title: Ginekologia Praktyczna - Year 2005, Vol 86, Issue 5

Abstract

In spite of 20 years experience, Poland is one of the very last European countries without legal regulations regarding assisted reproduction. Numerous initiatives of medical community concerning the question of infertility are being ignored by consecutive Polish governments for economical, political or unspecified reasons. Consequently, there is no legislative or organizational system regulating the application of assisted reproduction techniques in concordance to EU standards.
