Awareness and Perception of Corporate Volunteering by Nicholaus Copernicus University’s Students

Abstract

Employee volunteering, employer-supported volunteerism, employee community involvement, workplace volunteering are various terms related to the subject of corporate volunteering, which is relatively new concept, especially in the Polish reality. It is one of the elements of the corporate social responsibility strategy, which has been more and more oft en applied by companies. The article presents fi ndings of research carried out by the author on the group of Nicholas Copernicus University’s students on the turn of years 2008 and 2009. Research analyzed corporate volunteering. Its main aim was to identify the students’ level of awareness of corporate social responsibility and its role in consumer decisions and in the process of choosing a future employer.
