[b][i]Civic Freedom and Privatization of State's Tasks[/i][/b]

Abstract
The article considers the possibility that property can negatively affect the freedom of individuals. The points of reference are the relations in a feudal state where full public power had been transferred to the owner of a fiefdom. It was property then that brought into being the dependence of most people on the feudal lords. In modern times it is information rather than real estate that constitutes the most fundamental good. One may consider if we are at peril today that information may become a vehicle of feudal-like relationships. This would be the situation where the owner of intellectual property which serves gathering and processing information has the power to restrict the freedom of men e. g. by limiting their fundamental rights.
