BIOTECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS AND THEIR GLOBAL CHARACTER: PHILOSOPHICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract
Examined problems of the use of biotechnologies and their impact on human life and society; affected by the moral choices and values; analyzed problems that arise in connection with the achievements of genetic and cell engineering, biological weapons; deals with controversies and the possibility of their moral and ethical regulation. Proved that the development of biotechnology, especially genetic engineering and manipulation of the genome violate the basics of human existence, blur the line between living and nonliving, man and thing. Proved that the implications of biotechnological progress can have global scale and be unexpected.
