Broad band dielectric spectroscopy studies on associative and nonassociative binary mixtures

Abstract

In this present study, the dielectric relaxation and thermodynamic behavior of pure and binary mixtures of Triethylene glycol and ethyl benzoate and their binary mixtures ofeleven concentrations were investigated. The various parameters like dielectric constant, dielectric constant at high frequency, relaxation time, effective Kirkwood correlation factor, excess dielectric constant, and excess inverse relaxation time values for different temperature were calculated. All the dielectric results have been discussed in terms of H-bond interaction and dipole orientation in binary mixture. Furthermore, the solute-solvent intermolecular interactions were confirmed by pure and equimolar binary mixtures FT-IR spectrum.
